Johnson City – L.B.J. National Historical Park

Johnson City may lie a bit beyond West 20, but a visit would be well worth your time this holiday season.  Holiday traffic, tangled lights, and endless shopping trips can leave even the most peaceful person more than a little fed up.  When the holidays start to get frustrating, come to Johnson City and take a trip back in time to appreciate seasons past.

On November 27th, December 4th, 11th, and 18th from 6pm – 9pm, come explore Lyndon B. Johnson’s boyhood home, decorated to reflect a typical Christmas of the 1920s.  The L.B.J. National Historical Park hosts “Timeless Christmas” every year to give visitors a glimpse into history.

For a step even further back, visit the Sam Ealy Johnson Cabin for a frontier Christmas experience from the 1860s.  One night only, Novebmer 27th from 6pm to 9pm, come listen to tales of frontier life by firelight and enjoy traditional refreshments.
